Summer Hours is a Los Angeles-based digital collective. With a background in strategic digital marketing and ecommerce, the founder, Jamie Murnane, started the collective, bringing her more than 10 years of professional experience and a rotating roster of colleagues and collaborators.
The Summer Hours mission is to work more selectively with brands we believe in and collaborators we admire — and more efficiently, with the flexibility modern brands need.
The Internet isn’t 9-5, so why are your digital efforts?
Jamie Murnane, Founder + Chief Strategist
Over the last decade, I have been fortunate enough to work for and collaborate with both large corporate companies with huge budgets and start-ups with very little overhead across a variety of industries. I’ve worked on the agency side as well as in-house for ecommerce and lifestyle brands. Working with such a broad range of partners, I have been able to hone my experience and have opened my eyes to the various needs of companies throughout their life cycles.
It was working with the smaller start-up brands that I realized the traditional working relationship might not make the most sense for them or me. While the start-ups were eager to grow their companies and focus their efforts, much of their resources were going toward staffing and there was little left over for tools, media budgets, experimenting with new tactics, etc… . This led me to feeling limited in what I could do for them and craving more challenge and variation.
I realized I could benefit brands who needed my skills more by not working with them full time. Working “summer hours” allows me to be available when clients need me and gives me the freedom and excitement of working with multiple brands and projects, collaborating with them in ways that make the most sense and are most economical for them.
Let’s connect and make things happen!
