With a background in strategic digital marketing and ecommerce, the founder, Jamie Murnane, started the collective, bringing her 17 years of professional experience and a rotating roster of trusted colleagues and collaborators.

The Summer Hours mission is to work more selectively and efficiently with brands we believe in and collaborators we admire — with the flexibility and transparency modern brands need.

Over the last 16+ years, I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with both large corporate companies with huge budgets and start-ups with very little overhead. I’ve worked agency-side as well as in-house for many e-commerce and lifestyle brands, including more than one large brand aggregator (juggling 7-10 brands at once). Working with such a broad range of partners, I’ve been able to hone my experience and tailor my approach to the changing needs of brands at various life cycle stages.

It was working with the smaller start-up brands that I realized the traditional working relationship might not make the most sense for them or me. While the start-ups were eager to grow their companies and focus their efforts, much of their resources were going toward payroll, leaving little room in their budgets for media, tools or testing new tactics.

Working summer hours allows me to plug in when and where brands need me most, leading to longterm, successful partnerships that drive actual results.
